What is a Legal Entity ID?

The Legal Entity ID (LEID) is a unique Tripeden.com legal ID of an accommodation partner or group. It is different from the property ID, which identifies an individual listing. A single LEID can represent multiple properties. For example, property IDs 1234567 and 7654321 can have the same LEID. However, each LEID can have only one legal contact email assigned to it.

 

How to create a new LEID?

You can create an LEID in the following ways:

• Using the Contracting API.
• If you have not implemented the Contracting API, then your connected accommodation partner must request this through our local support team. The partner can do so by visiting the Inbox tab on the Extranet under see contact options.

 

How can I find the existing LEID of my connected properties?

You can find the existing LEID of your connected properties using:

• Provider Portal
• Contracting API

 

To access the LEID using the Provider Portal

1. Log in the Provider Portal.
2. Access the Properties tab.
3. Search for the property with the property name or ID.
4. You can find the LEID under the PMC Details section.

 

How to retrieve the LEID via the Contracting API?

After you have implemented the Contracting API, you can retrieve an existing LEID using the POST /partners/legal-details request. For more information on the endpoint, see Retrieving contract status and legal details with legal contact email.

• Note: You can only retrieve an LEID via the API if there is at least one connected property associated with the LEID or if you created the property via the API . 

 

Accommodation partners' access to LEID via the Extranet

Accommodation partners can view the LEID by signing in to the Extranet of their connected properties. 

 

To access the LEID by the accommodation partner

1. Log in to the Extranet.

2. Locate the property name in the top center of the page.

3. Click on the two arrows to the right of the property ID.

4. The LEID is visible along with the property name and the property ID.

 

When to use the LEID? 

This section explains when to use an LEID. 

You need to specify an LEID when you create new listings.  However, specifying LEID is not required when properties change their connectivity providers from a previous connection to a new connection. 

What if the partner does not know how to retrieve the LEID themselves?

You can advise the partner to contact the Tripeden.com Customer Service team for assistance. It is important for the partner to share the relevant property ID or Partner Card that is associated with the LEID.
